Quay Place is an imaginatively restored mediaeval church and modern extension operating as a Wellbeing and Heritage centre open to the public by the historic Ipswich waterfront.
Integral to Quay Place is the food and refreshments that are available to our visitors and customers. We are always looking for expressions of interest from suitably experienced and qualified people and organisations (partnerships accepted) to provide catering to Quay Place.
The venue has a 60 seat café area, therapy and meeting rooms, and the Nave which takes up to 120 people for a seated event. (We do not have a regular café in operation at the moment).
Our vision for the café is that it will provide healthy, fresh, interesting and good value refreshments for people coming to a therapy session / group / meeting / event at Quay Place in addition to people coming in off the street to enjoy the building and looking for a snack or responding to offers / promotions / events that the café has created.
We wish everything about the café and catering offer - including the staff and the menus - to reflect the health and wellbeing vision of the whole of Quay Place and all that it offers. Suffolk Mind is a mental health charity and we know that the food we eat impacts on our mental and physical health.
Children and families are especially welcome at Quay Place. We have many events for children and families and also a spacious play area that we are continuing to develop. We will want the café to be very family friendly and there to be menu options that interest children and their families. In addition we want it to offer dietary alternatives for people who cannot eat certain foods.
The venue can be visited at any time it is open to the public. For opening times click here.
