Healthy Mind Counselling

One of the wellbeing services we offer at Quay Place is our Healthy Minds Counselling service.

Counselling isn’t just for people who are depressed, anxious or prone to bouts of anger. It’s a good idea to talk about your emotional wellbeing all the time.

At Quay Place we are pleased to offer Healthy Minds Counselling from Suffolk Mind which has low waiting times and provides a guaranteed personal service that is tailored to your needs as much as possible.

Is counselling for you?

We have a team of counsellors with a wide range of skills in different types of therapy – from person-centred, to psychodynamic and also telephone sessions.

Whether you are going through a bereavement, coping with bullying at work or at school, or perhaps you’re a carer and just need to talk about the challenges that you’re facing – whatever you need to talk about, we have counsellors ready to listen.

And at Quay Place we have the most beautiful, tranquil yet uplifting environment in which to visit your counsellor.

What to do next

All you have to do is speak to one of our advisors by calling Suffolk Mind on 0300 111 6000, or fill in this online form and one of our client service team will be in touch.

Fees and appointments

We charge £45 per session, but bursary rates are available for people on low incomes. The initial fee needs to be paid before your first appointment. At your introductory session your counsellor, if you wish to continue with them, will book further appointments and you can pay for those each time. If you would like to change your counsellor at any time, that’s fine. We can transfer you to someone else – no fuss.

Low waiting times

The time you will have to wait for your first appointment can vary and is largely dependent on your availability. Sometimes people have only had to wait a few days, and while we cannot guarantee that in every instance, we will do our best to get you an appointment as soon as possible, and certainly within two or three weeks, as long as you can make yourself available.
